Congressman John Tanner Not A Big Fan of Republicans

Not at all:

“If Bush had followed the Clinton economic plan, this country, without raising taxes, would have $100 billion more a year to invest in some of our problems… I think Republicans, by their borrow-and-spend economic plan, have imposed more taxes on the American people than anyone else in the history of the world because you cannot repeal it — it’s interest, and it must be paid.”

Tanner also said: “This crowd has squandered the good will extended to this country after 9/11 and destroyed the moral high ground that — all around the world — America was looked to almost from its very inception.”
