It’s So On: Schrade One Of The Journos Investigated By Rogue THP Officer
By Kleinheider Posted on August 23, 2008 at 11:56 pmAnd they thought Schrade had been up in their grill before:
A list of 182 people believed to have been subjects of background checks from a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer includes the Tennessean reporter who revealed the highway patrol’s probe into the officer’s unauthorized activities.
Brad Schrade, who has reported on the highway patrol for years and first reported the probe earlier this month, received a call Saturday morning from a highway patrol special agent who said that Lt. Ronnie Shirley, the subject of the probe, had accessed Schrade’s background information.

The many faces of B-Ho: douchebag spokesperson for TNGOP; douchebag blogger on his “personal” blog; and douchebag “anonymous” blogger on “Bredesen’s Watergate.”
How many times is this douchebag going to embarrass himself? The safest bet in Nashville was that Schrade was going to be on that list. Hey, douchebag, wanna bet that Trent Seibert is the other reporter?
Despite all of douchebag B-Ho’s heavy breathing, this is no indication of a scandal. In fact, it’s even more indication of the personal nature of what this trooper was doing - regardless of douchebag political hacks attempting to scare up a scandal.
Dear “Triplicate:”
I never agree with anything Bill Hobbs has to say.
On the other hand, did you have too many bloody mary’s this morning? I would expect a better argument from someone who apparently has a strong opinion on this situation.
If the background check of an “unfriendly to the THP” reporter by a “nosy person with too much time on their hands” doesnt give a slight appearance of something unusual, nothing does.
Your schoolyard attacks and language do not aid your argument.
FYI: I vote in the “D” column, so I’m not a GOP fan.
Lt. Shirley started his searches in October 2006. Schrade wasn’t with the Tennessean then, was he? That runs counter to the conspiracy theories. The Tennessean and the Republicans keep throwing Cooley around. He left the adminstration in January 2007. He wasn’t around for most of Shirley’s checks.
I’m not defending what Shirley did. It just seems the conspiracy theories have no basis in fact. Throw Shirley under the jail if he broke the law because this sort if thing violates the public’s trust, but let’s be realistic.
Willie,
Brad Schrade has been with The Tennessean for at least seven years.
