Prominent Republicans To Raise Funds For GOP Targeted Indy State Senator?

Posted on August 11, 2008 at 8:13 am

That’s the word on the street - or one local, politically astute blog anyway:

According to the Republican Son, however, he and several other party members are switching horses in the middle of the race (yes, without consulting me or seeking my expert advice on how to have a proper Republican mutiny - I mean, the nerve of some people!) I’m also told there’s a rather large group of displeased Republicans who plan to quietly campaign on Williams’ behalf and have even discussed various ways in which they might help the State Senator - one of the ways might include holding a fund raiser.

(The GOP had better hope that doesn’t happen because I’m thinking a well-attended attempt to raise funds for Faulk’s opponent hosted by approximately 45 life-long die-hard Republican voters might be a slight embarrassment and would perhaps send the message that Faulk’s campaign is facing trouble in the hometown.)
