Overbey Defeats Finney

State Rep. Doug Overbey has unseated state Sen. Raymond Finney, defeating Finney in Sevier County to overcome Finney’s win in Blount County.

In unofficial returns, Overbey beat Finney with 10,138 votes to Finney’s 9,998.

Finney won 6,912 in Blount County to Overbey’s 5,717, but Overbey won 4,421 votes in Sevier County to Finney’s 3,076, election officials in both counties said.
