Losers For Stansell

Mike Stewart may have the unions, the newspapers, and the high powered lawyer lobbyist community behind him but his underfunded opponent for the 52nd state House seat, Eric Stansell has one thing he doesn’t — the blessing of the last guy who lost a bid for the seat:

Nashville August 2, 2008 - Jon Davidson, the small business owner who unsuccessfully opposed Rob Briley in 2006, today endorsed Eric Stansell as his choice in this week’s Democratic Primary for the District 52 House seat.

Mr. Davidson explains, “Whoever wins this primary will be our State Rep. for many years to come, and we should choose the man who’s really good for the long haul. I have met both candidates. I am not endorsing based on issues or promises, but on the man himself. As far as I am concerned, Eric Stansell is the obvious choice based on his intellect, character and personality. Considering the fact that proper public education is the primary tool by which society maintains and advances itself, we would be very wise to elect this son of two public school teachers.”
