Democratic Senator Rosalind Kurita Fights Back
By Kleinheider Posted on August 4, 2008 at 11:14 amAs we mentioned last night, Senator Rosalind Kurita has gone negative in her Democratic primary race for her state Senate seat.
After voting for a Republican Speaker in 2007 and refusing to commit to supporting the Caucus candidate in 2009, several of Kurita’s Democratic colleagues have lined up with money and district visits to help Tim Barnes defeat Kurita.
Until now, Kurita had been running warm and fuzzy media not even mentioning her party affiliation or her opponent. Not anymore. Ros has unleashed the dogs:

Pretty good commercial, until she referred to herself as a Democrat; not any more, Ros, not any more…
Jim Kyle’s boy Barnes is getting his face bashed in and all the Memphis liberals are bawling.
Lets look at this ad shall we…She attacks an Attorney for practicing Law. One of Tim’s promises when he ran for State Rep, was to make in home health care more available to seniors, not lessen it. Ros is the one in the pockets of the Nursing Home PACS. Ros attacked a citizen for paying his property taxes late, which many people do as a mistake because they get busy and forget about a notice that they get 6 months before the due date.
I don’t know who the “our” is that that kuritar claims to be on the side of but she isn’t on the people of her distict. She is so out of touch, rude, and self-serving that it isn’t even funny.
I live in Clarksville and kuritar is really having to stretch out some accusations because Tim Barnes is such an upstanding guy that she has nothing to attack him on. She is the one with the questionable history.
It’s time for change, It’s time for Tim!
A vote for Barnes is a vote to let dead people take part in elections, to let senators skip out on tough votes by appointing replacements, a vote for taxpayer funded abortions. Look who is supporting him.
Dead people? really? that’s the best you could come up with? Thousands of people support Tim, not just from the 22nd but from across the state. Tim Barnes is Pro Life you idiot.
Another Ft. Campbell Dem, do you even know what you’re saying?
Just talk to Tim Barnes for five minutes, and you’ll know what kind of person he is. The same can be said for Sen. Kurita. After talking to each of them, you see why Tim Barnes should be elected. He is an authentic, genuine person and Democrat, and the authentic person and Democrat in the race.
There is one reason to vote for Tim Barnes. Chairperson Ophelia Ford!
Dems should never forgive Senator Kurita from depriving this state of Chairperson Ford and the other Senate Democrat luminaries like Joe “I got my wife a judgeship” Haynes and Jim “I got my wife a judgeship” Kyle and Roy “I got my wife a chancellorship” Herron.
Remember the legacy of recent Senate Democrat luminaries who prospered under Lt. Gov. Wilder like Chairman John Ford, Ward Crutchfield, Roscoe Dixon, etc. and punish Kurita for depriving us of Chairperson Ford for the past 2 years!
