Endorsements For Dayz
Posted on July 30, 2008 at 12:43 pmSenator Rosalind Kurita’s primary opponent has gotten a lot of endorsements and he wants to tell you about them. His campaign has a press release and everything:
Clarksville’s Labor Organizations United Together (CLOUT) has put their weight behind Barnes. CLOUT includes the Clarksville Montgomery County Education Association, the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 364, the American Federation of Government Employees, the Tennessee AFL-CIO, the International Association of Machinists Union Local 1296, the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters, the Central Labor Council, and the Clarksville Firefighters.
Barnes’ campaign also has the endorsement of the United Auto Workers, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the State Association of Firefighters, the United Steel Workers, Laborers 386, Machinists District 711, the Tennessee Carpenters Regional Council, the Stage Employees Union, the Communications Workers of America Local 3808, the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees L.L. 2173, the Building and Constructions Trades, the University of Tennessee College Democrats, and the Austin Peay State University College Democrats.
Of these endorsements, Barnes says “I’m proud that so many of our community have pledged their support and believe in this campaign. I think it says a lot about what we’re trying to do for this community that the support this campaign continues to receive is from so many varied sources. It really speaks to the desire of this District for a change and we are coming together as a community to make it happen.”
Barnes finished by saying, “I’m just honored to be a part of it. I truly am.”
