Bleeding Hearts For Rove

Posted on July 28, 2008 at 10:37 am

Blake Wylie shares his experience as an attendee at the GOP’s closed press annual fundraiser:

I got to meet Mr. Rove. He is a very cordial person who has a great sense of humor. He always had a joke and was ready with a quick response to everything. He was quite different than what I expected, and not the “evil architect” that he is portrayed as.

Both me and my fiance were there, and when we met Mr. Rove, he asked if I had nose bleeds a lot. “Why?” I asked. “Because you’re marrying too high.” I had to agree with him, and it was a joke my fiance found quite funny as well.

The night went on without incident. It was a great event for all in attendance

Well if he makes a good joke about your wife being better than you, then all that other stuff he did in his professional life must just be our imagination. If he can make you chuckle at a party, then that settles it. Nobody ever heard of a bad person being really good at schmoozing at a party.

And here’s that objective coverage that Hobbs worked so hard to get.

Click on the article for the whole story. It’s mostly a humorous post about the “power” of Karl Rove in the universe, but AC took out the first and last paragraphs.

AC…your snippet makes the post look completely different. Why did you do that? Kind of surprising really.

Oh, please, Blake. There is a lot of blood on Rove’s hands. He has been an unacccountable and very destructive force, from which this country may never recover — leaving an enormous mess that he has now cut out on in order to cash in personally.
