Newt Gingrich Thinks McCain Needs Some Color On The Ticket

Posted on July 23, 2008 at 2:51 pm

From Jonathan Martin:

“What I’m afraid of is that if Sen. McCain picks one more relatively boring, normal, mainstream Republican white guy … he just makes the ticket seem boring compared to the level of energy and drive and excitement that (Democrat Barack) Obama has,” warned Gingrich, himself a silver-haired, middle-aged white politician out of central casting.

Um, that would be 99% of the available field in the Republican party, unless they wanna go to the backbenches and use a li’l affirmative action to pick JC Watts.

Of course, they also have Michael Steele, oh, or Ken Blackwell…please, please, pick Ken Blackwell.
