    Shirley Ward is on that board. Was she ever cleared of felony charges for voting in the wrong district in West Tennessee?

    Only in the modern-day GOP would a pitiful ex-CEO (whose company’s stocks shot up at the news of her resignation) be considered a potential Vice-Presidential candidate.

    The charges were dropped against Ward in June of 07.

    If I held a news conference with the national chair of a campaign and a member of Congress, and only one reporter showed up, I’m not sure I would publicize that non-fact. But non-facts are the stuff of the Tennessee Republican Party, one supposes.
