Michael Cass reported last week that Karl Dean had made a donation to the 52nd State Senate District campaign of Mike Stewart. Eric Stansell is probably hoping that the former mayoral candidate donors’ fortunes in this race do not transfer along with the money as Stansell received a donation for $1,000 from the loser in last years’ mayoral campaign, Bob Clement.

Stansell’s connections to the Clement family are deep having both supported the mayoral campaign of Bob Clement and having worked with Clement’s wife, Mary, at the Department of Commerce and Insurance.

Interesting to note, that while Stansell and Mary Clement were colleagues the donation was not in her name while both Karl Dean and wife Ann Davis gave Mike Stewart matching $1,000 donations.
