An Invitation From The TNGOP

Posted on June 18, 2008 at 4:16 pm

The Tennessee Republican Party goes fishing for votes after (gasp) the Tennessee Democratic Party links to Daily Kos:

“DailyKos.com operates on the far-left fringe of the Democratic Party, and is often filled with foul-mouthed, abusive rhetoric and unhinged rants against Republicans, conservatives, and even moderate Democrats who don’t toe the left-wing line,” said Bill Hobbs, communications director for the Tennessee Republican Party. “The site even, infamously, celebrated the deaths of four American contractors at the hands of brutal terrorists in Fallujah, Iraq, derisively dismissing them as ‘mercenaries’. The Daily Kos is not the kind of website most Tennesseans would want their children to read - but apparently it’s perfectly acceptable for the leadership of the Tennessee Democrat Party.”

Instead of bashing sites that the TNDP links to, wouldn’t it be a more effective use of the TNGOP’s time to explain to Tennesseans why they should vote for John McCain?

Oh yeah, that’s right. Because they don’t want to either.

What a typically Hobbsian leap of logic. So linking to a website is now considered a de facto endorsement of everything on that site?

Didn’t William Howard link to World Net Daily in his infamous Hussein post?

    “…abusive rhetoric and unhinged rants…”

    Pot, meet kettle.

Poor Hobbsie, how much of this is he going to look back on and shake his head, wondering why he wrote such tripe?

If we want to talk about blogs, let’s talk about the fact that the “personal” blog that Hobbs runs is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Tennessee Republican Party. He stated himself - on the very blog in question - that his career as an independent blogger ended when he went to work for the TNGOP. Every stupid, ignorant piece of shit that Hobbs tosses up on that joke of a blog of his is the official stupid piece of shit of the moment for the Tennessee Republican Party.

[...] have the locals discovered that I have Daily Kos in my feedreader?  I heard the Republicans frown on this and allege Kos readers are perverts who support terrorism and have bad parenting [...]
