The Smell Of Buyouts In the Morning

Today is the day, Cara Kumari reports that the budget cutting state employee buyout packages will be mailed out today:

The buyout packages are in the mail.  If you get one, you’ll get an individualized cover letter, the documents, a green application form and a waiver and up to 42 pages of other people (by age breakdown, job classification and region) who are getting the buyouts, and also a list of people who are not.

Website on www.tn.gov will be live as of noon today.  On Wednesday, it will be updated with all of the agency plans.  According to Goetz, that will include a rationale of how people were chosen for the buyouts.
