The recent ad hominem attack on Senator Obama is baseless and false - moreover, the subsequent finger-pointing and accusations are distracting us from the issues that truly deserve our full attention and the benefit of our dialogue, such as rising gas prices, soaring healthcare costs, a stagnant economy, and a mismanaged war. I am proud to support Senator Obama, and I call on the Tennessee Democratic Party and its proud members to reject these disparaging rumors and shameful innuendo to come together in full support of our Democratic nominee for the presidency, as a united front representing a positive change for Tennessee and for our entire nation.”
