Tullahoma Terrorist Fistjab III: Why Does Beecher Get A Pass?

Posted on June 13, 2008 at 12:12 pm

The Tennessee Democratic Party in their statement addressing the implication of terrorist ties to Barack Obama seem to throw state Democratic executive member Fred Hobbs under the bus, while Lincoln Davis Chief of Staff Beecher Frasier gets a pass even though, according to the article, Frasier would not complete disavow the statement made by Hobbs.

Question: Why does the state executive committee member draw the ire of the State Dems and not Frasier?

Wade Munday, spokesman for the state Democratic party, tells Post Politics that Frasier was not addressed in the statement because the wording of the article. Although the City Paper frames Frasier’s comments a certain way only the words “terrorist connected” are actually in quotes:

“It appears that the comments of Beecher Fraiser were not directly quoted as were the comments attributed to Mr. Hobbs.”

So until Beecher Frasier clarifies his statement it seems there will be no rebuke from the party.
