Watchdog Group Files FEC Complaint On Congressman Blackburn

Posted on June 11, 2008 at 12:30 pm

From Katie Allison Granju:

The Federal Election Commission should conduct a thorough investigation of Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s troubled campaign finances, according to a complaint filed Wednesday with the FEC by a watchdog group.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and Germantown, Tenn., resident Barbara Kaye Ginsburg filed the complaint against the committee and the committee’s treasurer, Tea Hoffman.

UPDATE: Blackburn responds:

“Rep. Blackburn, in holding her campaign to a strict ethical standard, self-initiated a reconciliation of her campaign accounts. The reconciliation confirmed that all funds were properly raised and properly spent. She is confident that FEC review of those records will agree with this assessment. In regards to the merit less complaint filed by the liberal partisan group CREW, Rep. Blackburn is not surprised and unimpressed. This is an election year and conservative women are prime targets for Democrat attack.”

Where’s the Tennessee Center for Policy Research on this one? No, wait, I forgot. She’s a Republican. They overlook this sort of thing from Republicans.

Plus, Blackburn is cute. Drew Johnson probably wants to borrow her earrings.

She’s pissed off the wrong people, and a few of her surrogates have screwed over the wrong people.

More will be coming out about this Congress”man,” and I can’t wait. (She asks to be called “CongressMAN.”)

Time for her and her lying, verbally abusive, elitist surrogates to go.

She’s the 12 most conservative member of the house. the first most conservative female. She has 100% rating by the NRA. She has 100% rating by National Right to Life. She supports life, family and traditional marriage.

What do you mean she’s not conservative? She supports my values.
What you have 1 or 2 pieces of earmark pork in her 6 years of service that she voted for? She won’t pull us out of the UN all by herself, Mickey?
The way you follow her around on all the blogs, I think you love her. Don’tcha Mickey?

All Leatherwood has is some OLD FED violations and that’s all he has talked about now for a month and half. They made mistakes. They apologized, fixed them and payed the fines.
