Stewart Rollering Up In Fourteen

Posted on June 2, 2008 at 8:22 am

Eric Stewart, a candidate for the Democratic nomination in District 14, has a brand new website with lots of bells and whistles including Twitter and YouTube Channels:

However, what intrigues Post Politics most about this Democratic candidate’s bold attempt to unseat an incumbent Democratic Senator, is not so much the web-savvy of his campaign, but the money that funds it.

In a report filed in April, Stewart reported just under $40,000 in campaign contributions — contributions which do not include a $50,000 loan from the candidate himself.

It would seem as though Mr. Stewart is for real and looking to get at the specially elected Sen. Steve Roller before his incumbency gets ensconced with a full term.

Thanks for the interest A.C. We are working very hard to deliver our message. This is an extremely important race for Democrats not just in the 14th District but all across Tennessee and the nation for that matter. It is very humbling to see the interest in your posts but even more so to see the interest from the voters in Bledsoe, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Sequatchie, Van Buren, and Warren Counties. They know how important this race is in the grand scheme of things. We have been blessed to have raised more than our competition but primaries are won face to face and hand to hand. That’s why I’m out everyday asking for votes, support, and help all across the district. This really is a lot of fun and I feel confident our positive message of “ideas that work for people who work” will result in the Democrats keeping control of the General Assembly in Tennessee.
