Enabling The McGovernization Of Obama
By Kleinheider Posted on May 21, 2008 at 7:23 amThe Political Tipster suggests one avenue for Blue Dogs and DLCer to get free of the “netroots”/Daily Kos/Moveon.org wing of the Democrat Party:
The correct strategy would be for DLC, and members of the more socially conservative Blue Dog coalition, to cut themselves off from the General Election, or even to endorse McCain, and hope that Obama will be defeated by McCain. With the Daily Kos wing of the Democratic party discredited, the up and coming leaders of the DLC, such as Ken Salazar, Mark Warner and Harold Ford Jr, can then fight their corner for the Democratic nomination in 2012.

Yes, because when Americans are rejecting Republicanism by the most massive margins in decades, the answer is to give them a slightly watered down version of it, which will really enamor them to our party.
It’s always amusing when Republicans try to give advice to Democrats. They always sound so well-intended.
As anyone who even stops to think about the idea for five seconds knows, a move like that would alienate the Blue Dogs, not the progressives.
By this same logic, Christian conservatives should sit out the upcoming election and really show John McCain what a political force they are…..
