Oh Bother

Steve Gill wants to know if it bothers Barack Obama that certain organization linked with terrorism seem to like him so much:

The support that Barack Obama is receiving from avowed terrorist enemies of America should bother him. The fact that it does not bother him should bother us even more than the fact that terrorists see something in him that they really like.

    If we care what any group outside the US thinks about the election, shouldn’t we care what our allies think? Last time I checked, our allies are largely supportive of Obama, with the exception of Britons’ support for Hillary.

    What people outside the US think won’t affect how I make my vote. If it did, I would value the opinions of our international allies over the opinions of our enemies. And can someone tell me why we should take our enemies at their word in the first place?

    If you base your vote based on your taking our enemies at their word, then you have failed at making a rational, grown-up choice at the ballot box.
