Met him this morning. I’d say that “Southern” and “Democrat” are an exact description. I would cast him in a movie role as a Southern Democrat running for office. “Appalachian” is fine, whatever; “Conservative” remains to be fully seen, but in a very general sense, I wouldn’t argue too much — although on some topics he takes Big Government to a whole new level.
