Push Polls Present Themselves In Rutherford County Over Proposed Bible Park

Posted on May 9, 2008 at 8:33 am

From Turner Hutchens:

Over the past two weeks several residents have reported receiving phone calls asking if they were for or against the $175 million to $200 million Bible theme park planned in the Blackman community.

Smyrna resident Mitch Tenny said he received a call last week.

Tenny said the caller told him if he said he was against the Bible Park, that would be the end of the call, but if he was in favor of it, the caller would encourage him to contact his county commissioner and attend meetings on the Bible Park.

“That’s not a neutral poll,” he said. The caller identified herself as working for “The Survey Group.”
