Keeping His Finger On The Pulse Of The Average Tennessean
By Kleinheider Posted on May 8, 2008 at 2:40 pmWhile much speculated as a possible Tennessee Gubernatorial candidate, Bill Frist is certainly striking a globalist pose, first with this, and now with a post on Burma:
The world community will rush forward to help the victims as quickly as we can get aid to them. The United States has already offered financial assistance and other aid to Myanmar. Unfortunately, the government of Myanmar has been slow in accepting aid from the rest of the world.
We learned many lessons from the tsunami that struck Asia in 2004. I saw first hand the devastation when I was on the ground delivering aid in Sri Lanka and the good from timely aid from organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse and Save the Chidlren. We learned the importance of getting supplies and medicines to the affected regions as quickly as possible. And the benefits of working with Aid organizations that have long term relationships in the region, and who therefore can be working on the ground with much needed assistance in a very short time.

[...] After a day of looking globally, Senator Bill Frist gets to thinking locally recounting his mission of mercy in supporting the Republican candidate for state House in District 62: It was a terrific night with a tremendous crowd and lots of energy! I was so glad to be a part of this effort. Barbara is exactly the type of person we need representing Shelbyville in our Tennessee State House and she is exactly the type of candidate who VOLPAC will support in every way possible. She shares our values and has a long history of involvement in her community and our Party. Barbara is president of Rotary Club of Shelbyville, served for four years as chairman of Bedford County Republican Party and four years as vice-chairman. She currently serves as State Senatorial District 16 committee woman for the state party and as secretary of the Bedford County Republican Women. [...]
