TNGOP Engages In “Class Warfare” Over Budget

GOP Communications Czar Bill Hobbs throws a little dust on the Governor for announcing employee layoffs for workaday bureaucrats while leaving his top dog political appointees’ pay raises intact:

“Upper management making out like bandits and getting lavish party facilities while the rank-and-file stand to lose everything.Gov. Bredesen promised voters he’d run Tennessee like a business. We didn’t know he meant Enron,” said Hobbs.

    The TN GOP never learns, does it? TN Republicans cling dearly to the fiscal irresponsibility of Don Sundquist. Spend those reserves as fast as you can, boys!

    How long before Bill Hobbs and Robin Smith start wailing that we need an income tax to balance the budget - just like so many Republicans before them?

    Or maybe they’ll just jack up the tax on cable television - like Ron Ramsey did before.

    This wasn’t timed to get the heat off Hobbs and the TN GOP for closing their little tete-a-tete with Karl Rove to the media, was it?
