The State Needs More Golden Parachutes?

Aunt B. points out, all due respect to the Governor, that the state of Tennessee is already being run much like a business — that’s the problem:

[T]he governor says we need to run the state like a business. Well, shoot, we’re already seeing upper management continuing to live their spiffy high-on-the-hog lives, with their party bunkers and their posh wining and dining while workers lose their jobs.

Indeed, B. would seem to have a point not only is the Bredesen bunker project continuing as the state workers so to are the hefty pay raises for the Governor’s top political appointees while your average work-a-day bureaucrat gets the proverbial shaft.
