Posted on April 30, 2008 at 8:00 am

From Fox News:

Former GOP presidential candidate and close McCain friend, Fred Thompson, is set to join the presumptive GOP nominee during his visit to North Carolina next week. Since losing the South Carolina primary on Jan. 18, Thompson has been absent from the limelight-even choosing to drop out of the race via written statement.

I will be SO happy to see Fred again. We’ve missed you terribly, Fred!

And I’m hoping you’ll reconsider that Veep thing. I hate to insult your buddy John, but I’d love to have a reason to feel good about voting for him.

Let’s set Fred to addressin’ Sen. Obama’s (D-Extreme Buyer’s Remorse) Jeremiah Wright problem!

    That would be a sight!

(Agree with others on the VP thing Fred; think about it.)

I do love Fred, but he is not right for VP. McCain needs someone who can run for President in 8 years. Fred’s time was this year. He also needs someone who is a little different as far as not being another “grumpy old man.” McCain-Thompson would be too much like Statler and Waldorf…

But I would love to see Fred in a good cabinet post, like AG. Or, as a high-profile pundit. Hell, give him his own editorial show on FOX! Hmmm… maybe replace one of the FOX losers like Geraldo Rivera…

Fred for AG. I’ve been pushing that since he dropped out of the race.

That would be a perfect place for someone with his grasp of the Constitution.

NeoCon Fred for Dog Catcher! He voted against the Constutition when he was my Senator, D.C. would be safest for our country.
