While there are still certainly a myriad of potential roadblocks to his running for or winning a statewide race in Tennessee, one thing is for sure, Harold Ford, Jr. has solved his “bachelor problem“:

Around 300 guests, including the elite of Memphis and Washington, gathered at Miami’s Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church Saturday to witness the nuptials of Harold Ford, Jr. and socialite Emily Threlkeld. The lavish ceremony included a total of 26 attendants for the bride and groom.

Giving the names of the so-called “elite of Memphis” would be good reportage.

I was at the wedding and rehearsal dinner and to say that the elite from Memphis and Washington were there is plain silly. The guests were close friends and family. I saw only one current politician and one person you might call a celebrity. It was a great weekend celebrating the wedding of two special people.

Oh yeah, then where was the Friday night party and where was the Saturday night reception? I think that you were a little drunk if you didn’t notice some of the major hollywood, new york, & DC celebrities & high profile corporate players that were in attendance.
