Lamar Facts

Bob Tuke debuts today his new “micro-site” Lamarfacts.com which seems to be devoted to a spirited discussion of the Senator’s flat tax proposal documenting how the Senator’s position has evolved on the tax and what effect such a tax might have on the economy.

In the email, Tuke also expresses distress that his open letter to Lamar was not answered.  Personally, I (and I’d venture to guess Mr. Tuke would agree) have always found open letters rather unsuccessful as opposed to personal attempts at contact.

However, while Tuke was at it he might have remarked that his and his Democratic  opponent’s recent pressers on the GI Bill seems to have coincided quite nicely with Lamar’s public push for changes in the Bill.

One would think as much as the campaign would like to chide Alexander for not hearing them on the tax issue, they might also want to point to an occasion where a case can be made that they have been heard by Alexander.
